6/6/2023 0 Comments Matefinder by Leia Stone![]() ![]() It’s pretty much the best job in the world. I generally write for about 2 hours a day and then do social media for about an hour or so. ![]() So many loose strings to deal with and it’s sad to say goodbye to those characters. Those seem to fly out of me at rapid pace. Ideally my kids are not around and I absolutely love writing first books in a series. Tell us, how does a day of writing look for you? And what makes a writing day IDEAL? Now, let’s ask Leia a few questions, so you get to know her a little more:Īs an author, I’m always curious to learn the way other writers go about their craft. ![]() You can read my editorial review on Young Adult Book Central. Her novel, KEEPER, is a fun read that will leave you wanting more. To share a bit about Leia, she is a full time indie author with several successful novels under her belt, including the well-received Matefinder series. I recently finished reading her novel KEEPER which I greatly enjoyed. Today on the blog, I’d like you to meet Leia Stone. ![]() ![]() ![]() Even having weakness, this novel is not less the value to be a good reading. The way Nicholls explains the conflict could make the reader feels what exactly the character's feel. On the other hand, the conflict is so strong in this novel. In this novel each character has a different characteristic and is highly contrasted, it makes the story more exciting and not boring. ![]() The strengths inside the novel are characters and conflict. I choose this novel, because this novel has strengths that make it as a good reading. In addition, the writer use close reading method to analyze this novel. To review the novel, the writer use intrinsic theory such as characters, settings, and conflict. This review explores the strengths and the weakness of David Nicholls's One Day by inspecting elements namely characters, setting, and conflict. One Day is a novel that tells the story about a man and woman who actually loves each other, but they never shows it up for about 20years because of their prestige feeling. This book review analyzes the strengths and weakness of David Nicholls's One Day. ![]() 6/5/2023 0 Comments The secret pigeon service![]() ![]() Between 19, British intelligence dropped sixteen thousand homing pigeons in an arc across Nazi-occupied Europe, from Bordeaux, France to Copenhagen, Denmark, as part of a spy operation code-named Columba. ![]() Contents Birth - The Special Pigeon Service - Leopold Vindictive - Arrival - Listening - Battle of the skies - Reaching out - Resistance - Secret agents - Undercover - Battle of the skies II - Capture - Interrogation and infiltration - The viscount - Trials and tribulations - Deception - The Americans are coming - Fates Summary The fascinating, untold story of how British intelligence secretly used homing pigeons as part of a clandestine espionage operation to gather information, communicate, and coordinate with members of the Resistance to defeat the Nazis in occupied Europe during World War II. Ordinary and flawed in so many ways, they come together to become much more than the sum of their individual qualities. Of course the real stars here are Shackleton and the men under his command who prove themselves capable of feats of courage, endurance and simple, stubborn determination which almost surpass belief. He audibly sorts out the personalities involved and presents the whole with an understated but charged clarity which keeps the narrative moving even through what could seem like a never ending and tedious progression of disasters in the voice of a lesser reader. Simon Prebble is a perfect match for the fine writing. His ability to bring the harrowing conditions and landscape, the fascinating array of characters, and the grueling sequence of challenges and hairsbreadth escapes into sharp and riveting focus is quite extraordinary. ![]() ![]() This is unquestionably the most amazing tale of men against the elements that I have ever read or heard, and it is told remarkably well by Lansing who draws artfully from the actual diary entries of the participants without ever reducing the narrative to a dry progression of quotes. ![]() ![]() ![]() The sequel to the original Ghost in the Shell manga series, Man/Machine Interface explores a wide range of philosophical issues regarding the nature of human identity and the boundaries of human consciousness.
